Meet Spark's Owner
M.A. "Jhony" Khan

Nagoya's newest restaurant "Spark" recently opened in central Nagoya's Fushimi district. The restaurant/bar has won rave reviews from culinary critics and customers alike for its unique Fusion Cuisine.

jCiti's reporter: Joe Steel recently sat down with M.A. "Jhony" Khan and chatted about what all of Nagoya is talking about.

[jCiti] Jhony, speaking for myself, Spark is a refreshing change from all the Sports Bars that litter Nagoya. What made you decide to open Spark?

[Jhony] Well Joe, It was apparent that Nagoya was in dire need of a restaurant that offered international cuisine in an relaxed pleasant environment.

[jCiti] I have tried both your Indian food and Mexican food and I have to say that the Mexican food rivals the best restaurants in my native California and the Nan is simply the best in Nagoya - if not all of Japan.

Fusion Food

[Jhony] Well thanks Joe, you know we specialize in Tandori cooking with special ovens imported from Indian to give a truly authentic taste.

[jCiti] Tell us about this fusion food.

[Jhony] Fusion food is taking two or more cuisines and taking the best elements from both to create a truly unique culinary experience. Every restaurant in Nagoya serves spaghetti in exactly the same way. How many restaurant in Japan serve curry that tastes exactly the same. At Spark your taste buds will get a pleasant surprise!

[jCiti] Well I can vouch for that. I can't wait for my next meal at Spark!
